Blow compressed air into the gas tube to confirm it's clear, then mount the block/tube to the receiver loosely enough to slide it around. Repeat canned air treatment while shimmying it around until you find the port, witness mark it, then tighten it down.

I had a 450 bushmaster that wouldn’t cycle. I had to drill the gas port on the barrel, cycled like a champ then!

Didn’t look like he had a suppressor attachment on the end of that rifle. By going with an adjustable gas block now he has issues that might not even need to exist. Rifles can run just fine suppressed and non suppressed with a fixed gas block if they are set up properly

Common that DIY AR10s are way over gassed. Anything shorter than rifle length gas system will be guaranteed trouble.

I had a carbine length 308 that ripped rims off cases. Buying another (rifle gas) barrel was cheaper than adjustable gas block.

I would see how it shoots with a regular gas block before dropping $$ on an adjustable. Adjustable GB is also a maintenance nightmare. If you don't keep them cleaned and lubed meticulously, they seize up. Ask how I know.

Guess I’ll try a non adjustable gas block. Don’t think I’m going to run a can on this one.
Thank you all for the suggested fixes.

Depends on how you think about it. I've always treated AGB's more like changing gas port size than a true flip-flop, so I buy a Wojtek Block and red loctite or rocksett. Buy it, set it properly gassed in cold conditions with weak ammo, fix it, and enjoy your properly gassed upper.

10-4. That's why I said, "if." Had a buddy who had issues after installing a can. I got him an adjustable block and after a few trips to the range, he was cycling right again.

Decided to do a little reconfiguring since most of these parts just sit in the safe collecting dust. I’ve never run this upper with an LPVO but so far I’m liking it. It’s heavy especially with the can but it sure shoots nice

I have something similar on a 762x39 AR. I set it up to shoot great with a can but it won't cycle without one.....

Freedom week mags are still illegal on a Maglock equipped AR because it’s then considered an assault rifle.
