I tried and tried, just can't get it to work. In fact, when I connect to my truck, I don't even see the "Toyota/Lexus/Scion" option. During the initial search to add my truck to the app, it search a long time (to 100%) but find 0 supported PIDs. I guess that is the problem. But I don't know how to fix it. I tried with my iPhone and iPad, same problem. :<

Thank you. Did you just purchase the $9.99 add on for the year of your car or the $34.99 add on?

the $9.99 option for my year truck.

mine did the PID search and found over 800 of them...

you do have the ignition on, correct? Not accessory mode but ignition mode.

I don't know what you mean by ignition mode -- I had the truck running when it did the search. The funny thing is I just repeated it again with my iPhone (with my truck running), it again found 0 PIDs. Doesn't make sense to me.

turn the engine off. Foot off the brake pedal. Press the start button twice. You are now in ignition mode. Try it again and See if that helps.

also what OBD reader are you using?

When I connect mine I used the generic OBD...sounds like you might be clicking on Network D.

I would uninstall and reinstall the app, take updates, add your purchased PID and try again to scan. Which adapter do you use?

What’s the difference between ‘at oil temp 1’ and 2?

1 is the pan temp and 2 is the torque converter, IIRC

Is torque converter temp something we should be paying attention to?

First of all, I want to thank everybody, especially SearArtist and Vlady, for their detailed and helpful suggestions. I am officially frustrated and baffled. I tried all the methods: ignition mode without car running, car running, "Generic OBD2", or "Network A". Nothing works. I found exactly 0 supported PID every time.
    IMG_6606.jpg

I can still read basic information:
    IMG_6608.jpg

    Just no enhanced information.

The most frustrating thing is that I have a 2014 Sienna XLE, which was when I bought this setup the OBD2 adaptor and OBD Fusion app. It works no problem with my Sienna at the time and still today. I can clearly see all "Network A" PID options when I tried to add display:
    IMG_0190.jpg

I want to smash something! Seriously!

Also, someone asked what is my OBD2 adaptor. I just checked my Amazon history, apparently I bought this random off-brand adapter in 2017:
    https://www.amazon.com/LITOON-Scanner-Diagnostic-Bluetooth-Universal/dp/B074DW7T5T

But mine is blue, not black. It looks exactly like this EML327 one (without the sticker):
    https://www.amazon.com/obdator-Blue...9Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU=

Again, it works with my 2014 Sienna, but could it be the problem and it doesn't support newer vehicles?

Thanks a lot for any help!!!

I tried a Bluetooth adapter and apparently they don’t play nice with iPhones. Mine is a WiFi version, cheapo off Amazon for like $15. Works fine.

Thanks, Mate! It seems that OBD Fusion connected tot he adapter, just couldn't get data. Also, as I said, the most frustrating thing is it works fine with my 2014 Sienna. I just can't explain why it doesn't work with my 2016 Tacoma.

In any case, what's the adpator you are using? Can you send a Amazon link?

This is actually quite frustrating. Turns out it is just my cheap adapter stopped working. I bought a new one (still bluetooth; I don't like WiFI version because I want to keep my internet connection when I am reading the codes, so that I can do some quick searches to find out what the codes mean) for $45 and has been working fine:

I'm struggling to get the Trans temp for my 2016 MT. I bought the pid pack but transmission only shows distance traveled??
