I write to ask for camping suggestions in the Adirondacks. The ideal setup would be somewhere where a friend and I could drive our tacos a few miles into the backcountry and just dispersed camp at or near our trucks.

I'm planning to head up in July probably. Though I grew up in upstate NY and camped in the Adirondacks as a kid, my experiences are now 30 years out of date and I never offroaded in back then.

Does anyone have any suggestions for where to go? Thanks in advance for the advice.

Moose river plains is a good spot. There is a ton of camp sites in there and all dirt roads. I usually stay at a real nice spot on the West Canada the first night, then head up the next night and stay either at Cedar River Flow camp spots or go right into the plains. You can make a pretty nice trip out of it, all primitive camping and good fishing.

I hear you brother. This trip of ours is touch and go (it depends on so many things in the time of Covid working out). A big part of this is for my son to visit his grandparents, who are really struggling in lockdown.
