I've been driving Subarus since 1974- have owned one of their original 4WD wagons, a Brat, a Baja, and between my wife and I we've a had a '73 sedan, a Tribeca and bunch of Outbacks. Lynn's currently driving a 10 year old Outback that turned 160,000 miles on the way to drop it at the dealer's for inspection yesterday and I have a 2019 Outback that is my work-provided vehicle.

The guy who started the local family Subaru dealership when they first hit the US was a true salesman. Early on, Subaru didn't offer automatic transmissions. When people would go to the dealership who couldn't drive manual transmissions, he would tell them they were special automatics. He'd take them out into a local coal field and teach them to drive the manual with them thinking it was just a new form of automatic transmission. Sale closed!!

This was my first new car - a 1976 Subaru 4WD wagon. You selected 4WD shifting a lever next to the gear shift - but didn't need to get out and lock the hubs like you had to do in other 4WDs of the time.

My FRS is really a Subaru. I love it. We also leased a 2020 Subaru Acent. It’s super nice.

If nothing turns up I will likely be putting up a garage sale of sorts with the parts that I have and didn’t get around to installing yet.

The only difference from this pic is the front grill and bumper are damaged from hitting a deer only two days before the truck was stolen.

The bigger parts the truck had:
-33x12.50r17 General Red Letter tires on black KMC Turbine wheels.
- Older Walker Evans coilovers up front
- Bilstein 5150 rear shocks
- Now bent old style All Pro front bumper
- Smittybuilt 9500lbs winch

It was a TX TRDOR that had the bedside badges removed. So it had the good scoop and TRD factory cat back exhaust.

I'v got a bunch of wood just sitting at my house next to my shed that has been there ever since a tree feel in our yard almost a year or so ago. If you or anyone else wants it, you are all welcome to it.

Used to mountain bike with cabins at black water as our base - plantation trail, lindys run, pine knob, table rock ( I think that was it). Love that place...

Yeah it'd be table rock. I spent my summers in the area with my grandparents growing up. We were down last fall but I caught a bad cold and we couldn't do as much as we wanted. This year we're going to hit a couple of campgrounds and do some hiking at seneca rocks as well.
