this lumpy blacktail was in my backyard several weeks ago. wish I got a pic of his nose when he was looking my way. Smashed and flat pig nose. Does he look old to you?

Got my Axis horns cleaned up. Can’t wait to make a plaque and hang them in my office.

Pay attention and listen to your guide, ask questions, and be appreciative. A good guide will work hard for you, he will work even harder if he knows you appreciate it. Most good guides are up 2 hours before their hunters, and are still in the skinning shed when the hunters are enjoying an after dinner drink by the fire, it's good to remember that at the end of the hunt as well. Be ready for your hunt, have sufficient clothing, be proficient with your rifle (or bow), bring your own binoculars, and for goodness sake, don't fall asleep during the hunt...

This is also very good advice, I would add that when you are putting your rifle on target, pick a spot. Don't just shoot behind the shoulder, pick a small spot, be precise, increase your margin of error.

I pushed this deer off this ledge in November, took this green picture today. Totally changed.

Spent the afternoon processing my Axis deer I shot last weekend. Ended up with almost 90 pounds of meat.
