This is true, though the problem then becomes that every other offroader in SoCal has the same idea and heads up to those mountains...trails get all crowded and (at least for me), not as much fun to be had for the drive it takes to get there and back.

This is why I like fall/winter wheeling so much, not only is the weather way better... but the chance of rain and/or snow keeps a lot of people away

Anyone know any trails with a small watering hole? Saw this with some off road picture and want to say it could possibly be in San Bernardino. Any suggestion to go off roading with a small lake ?

Hey folks, I have an engine problem. Low compression in 2 valves, codes p0300, p0301, p0303. Anyone have a reputable shop that is skilled in this level of diagnosis and reasonable in their prices? I'm in Pasadena, but can tow. Truck has 175k, never overheated in the 3 years I've owned it.
    Thanks

Howdy ya'll, just moved to the area a few months back. Any recommendations on local mechanics/shops? Got burned by Glendale Toyota 2x so far. Cheers.

LexTech in Eagle Rock. They just replaced my head, did excellent work, no bs, no oversell. They were recommended by folks on here and by a local friend who is has an older 4 runner. Honest, rad dudes who work exclusively on Toyota/Lexus and are into off-roading/overlanding. Only issue is they are only working 3 days a week due to covid, so things will take longer if it's a bigger repair.

Thanks a lot for this recommendation - great shop and guys, installed my lift a few weeks ago and took care of everything. Super professional.
