Zebralight. Got them from 1260 to 2300 lumens. Right angle headlamps on comfortable elastic headbands. Turn it on, put it on and forget it. Burns like 70 hours on mid power, something like 300-400 lumens, more than enough to set up camp. I don't even break out my shop light anymore when working on vehicles. Wherever I look, its light is there. Got the Xtar multi charger in the truck for the 18650's. I have a top of the line Black Diamond. It is a joke compared to a Zebralight.

Fenix FD40 and PD35TAC are still my favorite models. Currently I want to try other brands of tactical flashlights, Streamlight is something recommended by most people. I am planning to get one.

I went with an XP-L HI 3D 5000k. Crazy how bright those tiny lights are.

I harvest 18650 lithium ion cells from old laptop battery packs. When the battery pack quits working, it is because one or more of the 6-9 cells are bad. In my experience, a used name brand cell is much better than a new cheap cell.

I buy my flashlights direct from china/hk. Their shipping estimates are not always accurate, it can take up to 8 weeks or so to arrive. I've got around 10 or so flashlights similar to this one. There models change occasionally so they don't have the models I've bought in the past.

These things are cheap, but I've not a had failure yet on the aluminum shell flashlights. For chargers, I prefer a smart charger on Amazon.

18650batterystore is a great place to buy name brand batteries.

Astrolux FT03 for an overkill, not very useful light. BLF LT1 for a camping light.

Coast HP7R )300 lumen rechargeable, and HP8R 700 lumen rechargeable (both recharge via microUSB, batteries last about 6 hours on high, HP7R is intended for law enforcement (has distracting strobe), both have high and low power modes, and the front bezel twists to lock and unlock, and slides in and out for focusing the beam. )

I have found both to be great, and the rear of the flashlight twists and slides back to expose the USB charge port, or you can unscrew the back remove the battery pack, battery pack has USB charge port, and LED indicator lights red for charging, green for full charge (same on flashlight rear slide exposes LED) the HP7r came with 2 rechargeable LI-ION batteries and a AAA adapter, HP8R came witht he one rechargeable battery.

they are both an excellent size to use as a kubaton if need be. distracting strikes, and pressure points. I wrapped the head of my HP7r in skateboard grip tape (I work corrections, and used it for years, but with my current posting I dont use a flashlight much anymore, so it's no longer on my duty belt).

I am of the opinion that you get what you pay for. and for $94 the HP7R is top notch.. no dealing with expensive, or hard to find N sized cells, its rechargeable, and offers great reliability and sturdy aluminum construction (ive dropped mine from 6-12ft on concrete, banged on steel cell doors with it, still works great, and has very few dings in the powdercoating..)

Flashlight is a cheap 3 AAA cell maglight. More importantly my head lamp is a high dollar explosion proof model left over from working in the petroleum industry

Seems every time I need a flashlight light I also need two hands for the job at hand.
