Has anyone removed the OEM red letters? Are they glued in also?
I'm not having much luck with just releasing the tabs and pushing.
I don't want to destroy them in the process of removal if possible.

Damn you Toyota for that sale, I was doing so well with out it.

I took my decals off and ordered some black ones. There’s double sided tape on the backside as well as the tabs.

Thanks for the reply. Let's me know I will need to use a little persuasion there.
I'm going to go with blue.

I got them off. Just squeeze the tabs & push out a lil bit then grab the letter & slowly peel them off.

I decided to coat the skid with black bedliner spray. Found some silver TRD letters at BDTrim.com

I got them off. I used a flat blade screwdriver pushing through the tabs to get things going. The "D" letter was really attached. Made sure to take it slow and steady. The little bit of adhesive remaining on the aluminum was easily removed by rubbing. The adhesive tape on the letters was also removed by rubbing but took a little bit more effort.

Time to order some blue Tufskinz to replace the OEM red letters.

Excellent! Blue will look great on your truck

I know Tufskinz has a turbo silver color but I'm not seeing that option for these letters anymore.

You can see them there. They are darker than the factory silver, and reflect a bit off the ground so they look darker than they really are. I like them.

I have a couple of pics of the turbo silver. I just set the letters on the hood to show a color match to silver sky metallic. Very close but they do have a glow to them in the sunlight because of the gel coating

Does anybody knows how to find the bolts for the oil change access panel. The dealer lost 2 of them and wont replace them?

Try the parts dept at a more competent dealership or take 1 of them to a hardware store to match up

Ok this is probably a dumb question but is the removable plate on the Toyota skid plate for oil filter access or?
    Thanks
