    Hello everyone of Tacoma World.

So I am currently trying to tune my 2013 Tacoma with the 4.0L V6. My tuner is HP Tuner and I have purchased the correct number of credits needed to tune my truck. The problem is when I go to tune it before I can even get to changing anything I get these two messages.

We tested the tuner on another vehicle and it was functioning fine. So I'm not sure what is going on exactly but any help solving my problem would be greatly appreciated.

That is 100% normal for trucks that do not have the TSB updates from Toyota. HPTuners will provide you a copy of the newest version of your original tune. You'll also get a message about "your ECU isn't readable.." That's a (IMO) poorly worded message telling you the device is performing a virtualread.

Also, its showing we have 4 credits but its not letting us attach the credits so we can tune.

You’ll use your credits when you attempt to reflash the ECU with a new tune (or stock file even).

Open a tune file you want to write back to the ECU. Then hit the write vehicle icon (chip with red arrow) and you’ll be prompted at that point to license your Calibration ID & VIN. When prompted, select the “Specific” option which will also show your VIN. Follow the prompts closely and you’ll be on your way!

I blocked the VIN, but in the bottom corner the picture might not show it but I have "4 Credits". It wont even let me click anything else besides "Do not license"

If you do in fact have 4 credits, it looks to me like you need to resync your device.

    “Help” menu at the top..
