If is it okay/safe to run spare wheels for all 4 wheels all the time? As far as stength and whatnot.

yes. If your spare happened to be a Forged Alcoa wheel would you have a concern? Its just the one they chose.

Yes , you can . I rather just run oem 1st gen 16inch Tacoma and tundra steelies. To tell the difference spares has a slotted hole by valve stem and regular steelies have all circular holes.

    Sadly, not much.
I did notice a drop. But also coincided with transition to all terrain tires and bigger tires. 16>>17. I am at 16-17 mpgs with lift, roof rack, 265/75/17 AT and canopy.
    Hope that helps!

Wanted to contribute as a 5-lug owner (will never again!) I had a hell of a time trying to find some steelies.

I went with dodge caravan 15x6.5's they're the exact fit and offset maybe 10mm wider? No rubbing, caliper modifying etc. I also got hub-centric spacers as the CB was larger (71.5).

Cooper AT3 75/235/15's no lift etc. Just stock otherwise.

Hi there, I hope I can post in here with a tech question.
I bought my first set of aftermarket wheels and have a question about the offset. I can't find an offset spec stamped on the wheel. Although I do see stamped on the outer surface towards the lugs are WT, DE, and 15 all separate from each other (not in one line like the width and diameter spec). Per looks like I'm working with a stock alloy 7Jx16 ET15 (2002 3.4 4WD)
Can I assume WT DE or 15 are associated with the offset of the wheel? Thanks!

Still debating if I want to paint the caps black or leave them silver.

Hi Guys. Brand new to Tworld. Anyone on this thread have any knowledge as to whether I could run steelies from a 1983 truck on a 1994? They are 15/ 5.5 not sure of the offset. I just like those steel rims more than the ones Toyota introduced in 1984. Less contouring on the lip surrounding the bolt pattern.

    Thanks in advance.

Yes. Those are the rims I'm talking about. Love that truck. 69 Jim, do you know if I can run those on my 1994? I'm unclear on backspacing issues etc.

Just snagged some steelies from road ready and am having them slapped onto some Wildpeak AT3W 265/75/16 tires on Saturday along with 5100's on the front and rear! I've been following this thread for a while now and this is definitely what pushed me to going the steelie route. One thing I'm stuck on is the lugs and I'm damn near ready to pull the trigger... That said, will these do the trick: https://www.amazon.com/DPAccessorie...ma+acorn+lug+nuts+black&qid=1594848998&sr=8-5
