I have a leak somewhere in the front passenger side of my truck. I have those rubber floor mats that catch mud and stuff. Whenever there is a hard rain, the passenger floor mat catches a bunch of water. I’m just not certain where it’s coming from. Obviously the leak area is dry by the time I notice. Has anyone else had a similar issue?

Take a look at your cabin air filter.
If it shows signs of water, it’s likely the drain channel under the cowl.
It’s the plastic piece that sits against the windshield under the hood.

Take a water hose to your windshield and you can see where it’s coming from. I’ve got a small patch of rust forming on the top of my windshield passenger side, and when it rains hard enough, I can see water trickling through the grab handle hole.

This doesn’t always work. I’ve chased leaks in vehicles that stay dry with a garden hose, but the next rain storm are wet.
