Can you help? I have seen a few different things here, but based on my results I would have thought one with a little higher spring rate.

Taco lean is more in front and two leaf packs at 0 just means they are exactly spec. Which is fine. If you get a plus or minus it is recommended to out plus on driver side but isn’t needed.

So why does there appear to be a random set sold? It all makes sense until it looks to be a random pick.

Kinda begs the question why ARB takes time to mark then. If they all fall within spec and ARB is going to give you a random pair anyway, what is to be gained other than the occasional irritated customer who gets both marked (-) who is left thinking they got a below average set. Only make sense if they are sorting them so no one ever gets two (-) or a (+) combined with a (-).

ok well at least it’s ok to use 2 of the same. I’m thinking the differences are so minimal that OME doesn’t find it important enough to make sure someone gets any particular version.

Also don't understand why most kits don't come with shims, even the factory packs have a shim. I ordered and installed 2.5* and have no vibe issues so far. That aligns your driveshaft much better than a carrier bearing drop bracket.

I would Think the variation is negligible when you are talking the amount of weight they can carry.

Not every one needs shims depending on your load suspension setup and lift choice. I haven’t Had any vibes and have the HD pack.

Pinion angle will be off regardless. Once lifted, that angle will be steeper and U joints would last longer if that angle was less severe. Even the stock pack has a shim. People can do whatever they choose, but I think it is a good idea.

I actually don’t buy the “no vibes” thing. I think some people just don’t notice them. I was really sensitive to it, though.

How much more lift does adding the extra leaf to make the 95r to 96 add? Would the 3 degree shims I have still work or would I be chasing vibes again? Not sure how much of a difference it is angle-wise

I don't think it's much more if anything unless you have the weight in the rear.

it sits pretty high unless you are constantly carrying weight. Check the website for specs.

Question for you all running the heavy packs and the aal d29xl. Can the centering pin still be used or are you all sourcing new ones? Also does anyone have a link for the anti squeak pads to add to the aal? I need to install the aal due to the weight I run the heavies sagged about 1/2” from level.

Seriously considering getting the medium load pack, but I need some feedback before I fork over the monies...

Problem: I have adjustable Bilstein 5100’s, a Leer cap and a cap rack (300lbs constant load). Presently the 5100’s are set on the notch that gives me the most lift which is about 2.5”. With the cap and the rack I’m sagging, and the ride isn’t that great because of the shock setting.

Goal: 1.) I want the smoothest ride my Bilsteins can give me, 2.) I want to keep my 2.5” lift, and 3.) I want more load support so I’ll stop sagging.

My question is: If I get this OME Dakar leaf pack and put the shocks back to their default setting (no notches, so no extra lift) will the leaf pack retain the 2.5” lift I want? Or would I need to get an additional lift kit to compensate?

Asking this because unfortunately I won’t install this myself and shop labor ain’t cheap so I’d want to knock out as many jobs in one shot as possible.

Thoughts, experiences and suggestions welcome =]

Maybe I’m wrong but the rear shocks dont typically give the lift it’s the leaf springs. It’s just the rear shocks can accommodate up to X amount of lift. Again I could be wrong.

I put the heavys on my truck and with shell I had about 2.5” of lift. Once I added my fridge, drawer system and rtt back on it went down to only about 1.75-2” of lift. Not ideal so I’m adding in the aal next weekend to bring it back up.

Adjustable 5100 is for the front, no shock will give you lift in rear. I’d get the HD pack.
