I'm thinking about replacing the needle bearing in my 2011 tacoma while I change the cv boots. Looks like I have to buy the removal and install tools to do it. They are $45 and $30 respectively, on top of the $60 for the new bearing. Any ideas on how to do this mod with more common tools?

Ask around your local area. A lot of people 'rent' theirs out across the TW kingdom

You can also make one with some all-thread, a few nuts, and some thick flat stock if you want
