I have a 98 Tacoma EXT cab with a 3" lift, I have the stock rims on it right now but want to change up my up stance and make it sit a little bit wider. I plan on putting 33s on it but have to pick a wheel size. I was looking at the Stealth6 wheels as it seems to me those would work best for what I want. I was wondering about how far out would the 16x8 and 17x8.5 wheels stick. Also I know theirs a chance of rubbing would either of those be better to prevent that. Thank you for any help you may provide.

If anything, you can run spidertrax wheel spacers if your concerned about rubbing. Honestly the -25 offset on the 16x8 would suffice to your needs.

So I talked to my local tire dealership and the guy said that with the 16x8 -25 offset (stealth6) and 33 or 32 tires that they wouldn't fit. I then showed him the br6 which has only a -12 and he said that it wouldnt work either max offset I could do would be a -6. I told him I know theres a good chance I rub in spots but I can fix that and he said still max was -6.

Lol that dude is a fucking dumbass. I’m running -25 offset and 1.25 spidertrax wheel spacers on top of that. It can be done. Don’t listen to that fool. He knows nothing. Just bring a cutting tool from harbor freight and youre good to go. Cut as you need, on the fly. Again, your tire shop guy is an idiot. Tell him to throw that shit on because thats what you’re paying them to do.
