Wondering if this will work. Will a 2016 Toyota Highlander limited steering wheel fit a 2008. I have the left handed steering wheel audio controls only now It has the adaptive cruise control it says. Not sure if that matters.
Would I just need the front cover and airbag as well as some of my steering wheels guts? Wondering if the adaptive thing will throw me off

So liked the corolla im steering wheel but went with this ebay 03 -09 4runner wheel . Less parts to buy. Took a chance . Every thing swaped over than went to install and didnt want to sit on shaft all the way . Checked back of wheel little diferent for the way clock spring sits in wheel  . Lucky just turned slightly to fit in new wheel. Little snug but no problem . :bananadance:
    Was $280 shipped to Hawaii

Is there any difference in the clock springs between the base and upgraded models?

I've been researching this extensively between here, Google and YouTube. Ultimately, it fees like I've been putting together a puzzle thats missing a few key pieces, so here is what I have (Point A) and where I want to get to (Point B), along with that I'm still missing...

Point A: 2011 Base Model, Regular Cab, 2.7L, 5 speed manual, no audio buttons or cruise control. I am installing an aftermarket head unit (Sony XAV-AX100) as well; I have this unit from my previous vehicle and chose it for Apple CarPlay.

Point B: Ideally, I would like to install the Corolla IM wheel as shown in Tacomaholics YouTube Channel. I know I may not get all of the buttons working with the head unit I currently have, although I have been researching the iDatalink compatible hardware. As part of the install, I also want to add cruise control, and I know I will need to install a clutch switch. I may also just go hit up my local wrecking yards and see if I can find a comparable era wheel from a Camry, Sienna, etc. Basically, I am looking to add the remote capability to steering wheel to change volume and tracks as well as trigger Siri for voice commands.

    Question I still have:

Since I have the base model, is it likely that I will have the wiring harnesses from the clock spring to the components in the truck (i.e. wires to the head unit for the audio buttons, wires to the ECM for cruise control), or do I need to find them and add them to the budget? In my searches here, I saw a mention of a way to see if the truck is pre-wired, but I cannot find that link any more. I have seen this question comes up in various forms here, but never did see the answer...

So after almost 1 1/2 months my clock spring snapped . With 4runner wheel clock spring mounts a little off center .
Dont know if thats reason why . Tried ordering 4runner clock spring (02 - 09) but rockauto didnt show with audio control . Any way . East detail ended sending wheel wrap and looks and feels good so running that for now . Need to research more on 4runner clock spring

Just bought it, but it's been lifted and who knows what else has been crappily done before I got it. It's going to be a project for sure... but it's my daily driver too.
I know it's been awful quiet in here for a while, but trying to figure out if anyone it's doing this mod and selling then ready to rock. My tools were stolen, I don't have the tools to do a lot of stuff... So I'm having to rely on Plug and Play pretty much at this point.

I'm pretty sure I could talk the crap shop here in Fort Payne into hooking up the steering wheel piece... but I really don't want to deal with them.
