I live in deer country and my last car got taken out by a deer impact...and I've hit quite a few in my 23 years of driving, damn bastards literally chased me to get hit GAH!!! Oh forgot, 2017 taco

I've been checking out front bumpers that can take a hit...not like interstate speeds but maybe up to 55mph...though most of my hits I end up slowing down to 35-40 by the time I impact. I'm looking at ones that aren't just bull bars or just bumpers but protect the grill and headlights as well.

Does anyone have a cheaper option that actually still does a good job? I do have a 220v wire welder but I'm not pro with it. For reference I'm looking at the ARB or brute force (but none available for my year) right now and I've heard an arb can take a hit at 60 no damage which is impressive but 1600...and I thought spending 500 was a lot XD

I'm going to have to get one no matter, just too many deer on the roads and I'm sick of totaling vehicles from deer. Might just take longer if I don't find reputable options(local arb distributor has payment so probably do that)

hey seus crisco...just browsed the "let's see the impact" bumper thread.....I'm getting an ARB!!!! Not totaling my truck with a deer hit is what I'm after, my last car was an ls430, hit a deer at like 30 and the front right panel, hood, and light were destroyed but no airbags. If a car hits me I figured I'd just be sol...but those things have taken on TRUCKS with guards on them and still won XD

Just seen your post here, I have a 2017 Tacoma with the ARB. There should be some available now (if you haven't purchased one yet). I love the product, plenty of mounting for auxiliary lights, and winch mount too. Has a cleaner look to me, and the price was good too. If you'd like some more info or pictures, I can definitely post them!

went from an ARB to this allpro, arb is probably better for impacts but it rubbed on the old 33s and stuck out too far for me

It was about 850 (steel, no hoops, no finish on it) it will be more for hoops and powder coating if you want that

Wait until thanksgiving or tax season sales you can find a substantial discount. If your willing to paint it yourself even safe a few more hundred bucks.

Billy is owner and master Fab man. His truck is amazing and he is kool dude. Talked to him multiple times on phone when I lived in Hawaii about his bumpers. Prices are good!!

Decent bumpers are not cheap. Start practicing with the welder.

I bought the ARB, I’m nowhere near good enough with a welder, maybe if I was doing a madmax build XD

Right now I’m debating on cutting the not paid off trucks bumper or not, fender flares are cheap and I know if the truck ever got totaled the bumper would add value so I’ll probably go ahead, can’t find a body shop that will do it, to my surprise. Well found one but the dudes kinda flakey so I’ll just do it myself. It comes with a template and there’s a couple of youtube vids that show the template placement, I’m only hesitant because...well cutting.

    Thanks for the advice everyone!
