Curious if this works with the new 2020 Android/Apple Car Play units.
    Anyone know?

    Thanks!

    OK,
    I've got every thing.
My first question is what route did you use to get the RCA connector thru the firewall?:frusty:

The hardest part is finding the "perfect" location for your camera, so it shows as much of your front bumper (and what's directly in front of it) as possible.
Aside from that, getting the wiring through the firewall was pretty tough. I chose not to push/pull the RCA connector through the firewall grommet.
The RCA connector appeared to me that it was larger diameter (fatter) than the Natika 4-pin connector and the molded plastic "junction box" in the Natika cable.
I pushed a piece of a coat hanger from the engine compartment into the cabin. Then I stuffed the end of the Natika 4-pin connector into the biggest/fattest plastic straw the I could find, then secured it with tape.
I attached the other end of the big fat straw to the coat hanger. I lubed up the straw with Magic Lube that I use for my swimming pool pump/filter.
Then I had my wife provide (mostly moral) support from inside the cabin while I pulled on the coat hanger from under the hood.
After gently, slowly, and steadily pulling, the 4-pin connector came through. Then I lubed up the molded "junction box" part and eased it through, pulling gently and steadily.
I immediately plugged it into the camera and was relieved to find that it still worked. :broccoli:

Thank you very much for the hints.
My Nikita cable only has two RCA cables, one short 2' for power and one 20'? for video.
I don't see any 4 pin connector to the camera.

Yes, placement will, can, could be critical.
I just want to get the wires run and the switch installed and working, then I'll look at placement.

Where is yours? Low or High?

I have the stock 2017 Limited grille so I didn't have much choice of where to put the camera, since I wanted to keep it perfectly centered.

This is the view, although after this pic was taken I installed one of the Natika shims to angle the camera slightly more upward/outward.

This is the wiring diagram provided by Natika for the WD-011 which I have. This diagram shows the 4-pin connector and the "molded junction box" that I referred to.

If you have to pull the RCA connector through the firewall grommet, I would use something like this.
Plug the RCA male from your camera into the female connector of this short cable, then tape it together securely.
Lube it up, and use the bare end to pull the assembly though. It won't be easy, but it should prevent damage to your camera cable.
The power cable should be routed into the cab, to get power from the +12vdc connection on the CS interface.
You don't want your camera to be "on" continuously or your battery will die.

It only works with the Entune units.

Like what TullieD did I wouldn't mind having an SR grill from a 2020 model. It would mount the Natika camera easily in a vertical position with a little more forward view. Like how others have done with Pro grill.

If your Pioneer stereo has an RCA input for a camera then all you need is the camera switch with the relay to make it work.

Can you point this idiot in the right direction for a camera switch with relay? I'm trying to use Meso Stealth shift knob to control front and rear cameras?

The anytimebackupcamera.com site I think will sell the relay wire harness separately. Or you could build yourself. I can send you a pic of the relay.

This is the pic of the relay that you can connect to the MESO modified shift knob.

I have an aftermarket head unit(pioneer avocado-w8400nex), trying to figure out the easiest way to install a relay to toggle camera views from a push of a button instead of going through my head unit.

You need the basic relay like I posted above from anytimebackupcamera.com or you can build one yourself.

Super frustrated... had my camera all hooked up, tested it and everything worked. Now just time to clean up wiring and finalize connections under the hood. I accidentally cut the camera video wire in half. Spliced it back together and still no bueno. Controller seems to work normally but I have a black screen for the front camera.

Looking for troubleshooting advice. I have a cheap Harbor Freight multimeter but haven’t used one of these things in years. Did find a video explaining I had to break the circuit with the meter in between. I may have a front camera power issue somewhere too rather than the video feed.

I installed a 12v to 7.5v adapter in line with the camera power wires. They sell this part for a few bucks on Car Solutions website for people that may want to leave camera on for extended periods. It makes the camera last longer. In testing I had this hooked up with those wire twist things but they are hooked up with butt connectors right now. Everything is all shrink wrapped. I’m trying not to undo every connection if I don’t have to.

    Thoughts anyone?
