For sale is a new Toyota iPod interface kit part no. PT545-00082. The unit I am selling was only opened to test to see if it would work with my 2009 Tacoma. I bought two of these units; one for my wife's Rav4 and one for my truck. I had heard mixed information as to whether or not this unit worked with my XM branded JBL head unit, so I decided to try for myself. VERDICT: It doesn't work, so please don't buy this if you have the XM branded JBL head unit. The interface kit works great on my wife's Rav4. Installation is fairly simple.

Price is $140 firm with USPS flat rate shipping included to the lower 48 states. I don't do PAYPAL, so an old fashioned money order would be best.

Thanks very much for reading my listing.

Does this work with the 2009-2011 trucks that are not JBL, but have the stock radio with an xm reciever plugged in? I am curious how this would plug in.... Also, does the song title show up?

Just a heads up for everyone considering buying; its for 09+ Tacoma and the following I got from TRDParts4u.com:

Notes: For vehicles without embedded XM. Requires audio head unit to be satellite ready.

This is just to prevent any hassle for the OP and a potential buyer. :)

I would of snagged this up but I have a 07, GLWS!

Hello, thanks for your questions. In short, I am not sure if this will work with non-JBL. My truck has the JBL with XM embedded. Your head unit sounds like it is at least satellite ready, which is one of the requirements. Here is a link to the installation instructions in PDF. Maybe you can see if the rear of your head unit has the connector for the interface.

As far as the model year this interface will work with, that's also confusing. Many sites, as 2blu4u points out, lists this interface as working for 2009+ models as seen here:

    http://www.toyotatrdparts.com/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=297505

However, the installation instructions state that it is for 2008+ models:

So go figure. This seems to be one of those parts that just causes confusion. The only thing I can state for sure is that it won't work in a JBL head unit with XM embedded like the one in my 2009.

    Thanks for the questions.
