Popping noise in suspension even after changing ball joints

    I have a 2006 Tacoma and I just changed my ball joints along with tie rod outers. I’m still having the popping noise along with a new one and that’s like a stress crackling noise. I guess that’s a good way to put it. When I turn and stop is when I hear it most. Any Information will help out. Thanks in advance.

    Check the lower control arm bolts.
    They come loose sometimes.

    While I was under there I made sure everything was tightened because it has happened before. I’ll double check everything again. Thanks.

    I think the TQ Spec is 100 Ft/Lb
    You can check the TQ Spec Guide and see.

    Also that torque should be set with the truck on the ground supporting its own weight.

    lower control arms did it for me. They were not torque'd to spec. After torquing, all good. GL

    How many miles? My ride is at 226k and has been doing it for 5 or 10k, finally just figured out it was the lower control arm bushings causing it.

    torque the front LCA alignment cam bolts/nuts to 130lbs. they can take it.
