    Hey everyone,

Lurked for awhile, and now I've roped myself in hah. I have recently purchased a 1st gen in mostly good condition. Lots of plans for this little lady. First up is some frame repair in the back below the bed. Any hints/tips or even leads on a new frame (in Canada) would be helpful.

    Thanks!

Hello, welcome to Tacoma World!

Finding a clean rust-free frame here in Canada? You willl need to be patient and very lucky to find a rolled/wrecked truck or a part-out with a frame that is still good. It might not be impossible but it's going to be like searching for a needle in a bale of hay as the winter salt and chemicals here make a rusty mess out of vehicles in just a few years (particularly if not rustproofed). You will have more luck if you look in southern USA, but this is out of Canada.

If the frame is still salvageable, then these repair patches, as shown above, are an option (or make your own if you know how to weld or have a friend who does)

And talking about welding, if you know how to, you could make a new frame for your truck. Paying someone or a shop to do it will be $$$$
