Avid Armor It has a 1 year warranty but once it arrived said if you post a review they will give you a 2 warranty. I purchased the 4 year extended warranty though Amazon just in case however. Fairly new company but really high reviews so far. Always figured I'd end up with an ARY (VacMaster) but the reviews aren't so great on ARY support. If I went with VacMaster I'd go with vacuum sealers unlimited. But like freezers many models are sold out and shipping dates are out a month or more.

Bags from Walton's. I like them and when I order from them usually purchase a few other things too, usually seasonings. Walton's *Everything but the meat*

Thank you!! Best ramen bowl I've ever made... and I'm trying to take different pictures thanks to people like @Misplaced Nebraskan and @medic2230 throwing out tips

haha... looks like I have more research to do... I'd considered buying these for small blocks for smoked cheese
    https://www.usplastic.com/catalog/item.aspx?itemid=97937&clickid=related-slider

i know they're only 3 mil but the cost is significantly less. Thoughts on that ?

Also - side note - if anyone can teach me how to past a link under a word like @Cold Iron did with Walton's above.. I'd be happy!

Haven't used them, but I'm sure they are fine. 5"x7 inches is pretty small once you get something with any thickness into it. You need enough length so that the seal area can lay flat on the seal bar. Honestly I think the quart size 8x10 is about the perfect all-around size. They work well for chicken breasts, ribeye steaks, 1lb of ground beef (pressed flat after sealing), Jerky, 8ox/1lb blocks of cheese, etc...

I've done the Rotel/Velveeta queso for years. I blame my ex-gf for addicting me to it.

For me I just like the Rotel original with Velveeta Mexican in the microwave for a couple minutes.

I have a couple hundred 5x7 bags I got on clearance from Bass Pro Shops a while back that are perfect for cheese. I buy the 2 or 2.5 blocks of Tillamook cheese at Costco, then cut each one into 8 smaller blocks for smoking - more surface area that way... and the 5x7 bags are PERFECT for those. The smaller blocks make it easier to share too. Otherwise I prefer the 8x10's like you mentioned for most other things. once in awhile gotta have something bigger but making a bag out of a roll isn't that hard either.

I don't care for cream of mushroom either and I usually substitute cream of potato in things like hashbrown casserole or green bean casserole - just throwing out other options for other people.

I finally used my new side box on the Char Griller proper like  Made my basic AF, but very tasty, mac recipe (in my sig) didn't add any bacon because there was enough meat for sure!
Little get together with the local wheeling crew and some new non-wheelers up in Cincy. The mac was my job, others handled the rest.

I'll say that adding the box was totally worth it! Much easier to control temps and add coals/wood chunks vs offset fire inside the barrel with the item cooking. Took right at 3 hours with prep time @ 250°

Yeah that's just on the weber bags, right? I have either apple or hickory in my shed right now. I killed one bag, I think Apple, so I think that I have Hickory....Well, I'm going to the store today anyway so I'll get some chips of whatever wood they have at the wal mart :D

Hot damn you're not going to be messing around!

I was actually going to recommend something stupid like this:

No.. I think you misunderstood .. The picture I posted is about what flavors go best with which meats/vegetables etc. And it came from the back of a Pit Boss pellets bag which are sold at Walmart, but the "rules" apply the same across the universe. You don't want to be smoking a pecan pie with mesquite etc.

And to further clarify, the picture of the tinfoil pouch .. it's filled with PELLETS not chips

1 - Yeah, it's a table of meats/foods and the "right" wood to use. Everyone has one, I just end up with Weber chips usually so that's what I was talking about.
    https://www.weber.com/US/en/blog/burning-questions/picking-the-perfect-wood-pairing/weber-29711.html

Their bags look remarkably similar though with the meats and woods and a check or X/blank whatever.

2 - Pellets - gotcha. I usually use chips in my smoker, buuut for this go around I can certainly grab a small bag of pellets. Looks like walmart can get a 2lb bag for like 4 bucks (hickory, but I'm sure other woods are similar in price, not like you'll get a surprise 400$ bag). Worth a go, thank you for that heads up! I would have gotten chips.
