Yeah 10-4 I just have a pistol there and don't really want the bottle on the driver's side.

Had an old bag in the garage but the loops were a little think so I cut them on the underside (sealed ends with heat) creating a longer, single thickness strap. Taped it down on the inside with gorilla tape. Seems solid for now. Thanks OP!

Thanks for the idea, OP! I used a 16-Penny nail instead of a bolt. Also, I started at the center console and worked my way forward when popping the clips. :thumbsup:I emailed with Taylor at Static Climbing, and she mentioned that she could modify the bag if needed, "I can always make it an inch taller or even make it with one 1.5" loop in the middle rather than the two 1" loops". But, I think it's fine just the way it is! Maybe it could be a 1/2" less width? :notsure:, but not that important... Edit, see my next post for a possible Tacoma package deal with slight modifications.

Did you let her know her rock climbing chalk bags have become a cult hit with Tacoma enthusiasts?

This mod got me too, I bought the bag because it is just too clean and useful, and supporting a niche business is a plus.

Great solution! Currently have a motorcycle helmet sized cargo net from harbor freight in that spot, poorly clipped on with strong money clips. Works for water bottles, maps, odds/ends, but this is waaaaaaay cleaner looking. I’ll try to post up a pic when I get off work and jam the netting under that edge.

I was so stoked to see the OP post this mod and my gf looked at me sideyed when i told her i bought chalk bags for cupholders. But then she got really excited when I showed her some of the pics from here and that our bottles will no longer be bashing her ankles during drives.

Now if only she would maintain that same level of excitement for all the mods I do...

it is pretty genius... I have an odd sized coffee cup that will not fit in the console cup holders, but will in the bag, so I bought in for that alone...

I'm hoping she can do a package deal on Etsy for Tacoma orders.

    Like this:

Gunpowder color, move the logo to the right side opposite of the elastic loop, make the bag 4" wide (instead of 4-1/2"), no drawstring or brass grommet, tighten up the elastic loop to hold a standard pen/pencil, and combine two of them as a "Tacoma Package Deal", but have them mirrored - one for each side. :D

    Anyone else interested?

She makes face masks too! And donates one for every mask sold.

I got mine from the Local REI so I am set, but sounds like it could have promise...

Count me in. I'll likely gladly buy one or two from her as-is if the package deal falls through.

Pretty cool, if you need an emergency drink. I toss mine behind the seat of my access cab. I have a platform back there.

This is the bottle and insulated holder thing I use. You modders could come up with multitudes of ways to use this.

Here is my take on it. Used this molle chalk bag. The webbing on the back us not doubled up toward the top and reduces the gap that is left between the two trim panels. Folded the bottom 2/3s of the webbing strap over on itself and taped it together to act as the stopper on the inside of the panels instead of a piece of metal. 20200702_172226.jpg 20200702_171507.jpg 20200702_154441.jpg
