What percent tint did you go with, especially on the rear factory privacy glass?

    LOL it's not.

You know a cop can fine you for EACH window. It's not a cumulative ticket.
If you go to dark on the passengers and the rear that's 5.

That's a lot of revenue lol.

if I wanted my windows to be that dark, I'd just close my eyes, cheaper that way and can go back and forth with pretty minimal effort.

    incorrect.

In NC trucks and SUV can have whatever % behind the front driver and passenger glass. The front windows cannot measure more than 32%.

also, coming from someone who has been ticketed multiple times for tint violations in NC, I can assure you it is not “per piece of glass” that you get fined. been ticketed by city cops, SHP, and even a DOT officer.

I am speaking about Florida statutes. I realize the OP is in NC my apologies. We have very specific rules regarding tint here. We have different percentages for reflective film and Darkness. Florida does not allow colored film. It varies depending on whether it's a sedan or a truck.

And here in Florida they most certainly can fine you per window. They usually don't but it is within their right to do so.

I've got dark tint on all the windows (minus front glass-had that removed). Mississippi troopers love tint violations.

After removing the dark tint on front windshield, I had a ceramic film put on that was lightly tinted. Even though it's not as dark as previous, the ceramic film does a pretty good job of keep the heat out.

A lot of boot lickers in here.... Your states must suck. Ohio has a 50% limit on the front driver & passenger and zero restrictions on the rear 3. I have had 15% tint on all of my vehicles for the last 15 years and have had zero officers even mention it(& I have been pulled over in that time). I have also never heard of a fine given here for illegal tint, a fix-it ticket maybe, but never a fine...

For those of you that have done tint on the windshield, do you get distortion/halos/etc? I'd love to do a very light (70%+) tint to keep some heat out, but I don't want to screw up my visibility.

I got 90% And from the inside you can’t tell visually but you can feel that helps with the heat minuscule amount.
