I bought a PlayStation before an N64 but because it was so buggy I had to return it and get the N64 instead. It was way more reliable than the PS disc's were.

Anybody using one of the lil retro hand held emulators to game on? I've been thinking about getting one but there are so many out there, not really sure on which one...don't wanna drop a munch of money on one...looking to spend around $100...or willing I should say.

I've been using the ePSXe emulator on my android phone to play some PS1 RPG's. I haven't found one of the dedicated handheld emulators that I like yet. I really want to get an Analogue Pocket when it finally releases though.

That actually looks pretty enticing. I've been put off by the build quality of other devices but this one looks decent. I may have to pull the trigger on that as well. It looks like PC Mag did a good review on it: https://www.pcmag.com/reviews/anbernic-rg351p

I'd hold out for one of these. They'll easily be able to emulate probably up to Gamecube and PS2 with ease, if ran on an 8GB Pi4.

Saw these SNES Classic Edition controllers at my local 99 Cents Only store. They also had 10ft. extension cables for .99 cents.

I see them from time to time in thrift stores for a few under $20. Try a Goodwill or similar thrift store.

Just bought some NES games and controllers from Game Hogs in LA today. They were pricier than other places but I could live with it just this one time lol.

yeah, I picked up a few NES games the other week from an antique store. Nothing special but I looked up prices online to make sure I wasn’t paying more than online prices. Have been having some luck at half priced books. I’ll post up a pic of the lot I found.

on console currently playing Zelda: A Link to the past on SNES. Realizing I’m not that good a video games it’s taking me a while to finish but loving the game. Skipped the SNES growing up, parents got us a Sega genesis at the time.

Adding to the delay, testing other games I buy out and about to make sure they’re playable games or need to return since some places only have a short window of returns / store credit.

also getting in some gameboy color games before bed. Currently Mario and Wario games.

    Edit:
This was my latest NES score. Also found the game genie yesterday at half priced books for $19. Maybe not a great deal but not bad… and I wanted it

Game Hogs had quite a selection but only some of the games had price tags on them. My transaction took awhile because the employees would have to text or call the owner to get the prices for products that didn't have a price tag. I'm guessing the owner just checks eBay or Pricecharting to relay the prices to the employees. Their prices were high but I bought stuff I haven't seen available at my local retro game stores. All sales are final at Game Hogs but they do insist you test out the products before purchase. They have a counter with numerous systems set up where you can test games and controllers.

    Score of the day.

posted some gameboy games for sell on CL yesterday. Noted would be interested in trades. Met the guy for what was a cash deal, but mentioned my trade on my posting. He pulled this out. Got it for $30 deal.

Good condition and already played it a bit. Works great but going to replace the 2005 battery before I dive into it.

I set up a retro corner at my girlfriend’s.
    IMG_1259.jpg

So far it’s just an NES and a PS3 slim that’s hooked up to a CRT I took from work. I could’ve gotten a stereo JVC CRT but it was recycled before I could rescue it. I plan to add a PS2 in the near future.

    Watching YouTube on a CRT!

The sheen is ridiculous! The copies I see in stores are usually in rough shape.
