What's the best free and cleanest mod. Debadge, or maybe... Debadge... Or maybe, let me think a moment...

    Debadge :)

My favorite top mod, would probably be J-VIN 1GR-FE or fitting a 3.25 cubic ft speaker box with 2 SoundLabs DC 8's behind rear seat, lol! :)

But be Warning on TrueTrac, if your mainly on street driving there are some things you need to consider.

If you are turning and accelerating at the same time, it will lock the differential! So it takes getting used to driving in the rain and if your stopped and go to take of fast, like turning out of a parking lot, you will screech the tires.

If you want light output.... Skip all the BS and upgrade to a REAL HID Hi and Lo beam setup. Been running this setup for 10+ years. H4-4 HID bulbs.

    Well..... here goes.

I would say for usable light output upgrade, do the Ultimate Headlight Upgrade. I have a retrofit (RX350 projectors, clear lens swap, Osram Nightbreaker Unlimited bulbs and Hella gen III ballasts) and it is very nice! But it isn't a good retrofit for a first timer to nut and bolt method. As good as it is I still think the Ultimate Headlight Upgrade is very impressive and less work, although less flashy. If I were to redo my retrofit I would probably go with Morimoto MLED 2.0 or G5-BRT. They are threaded shaft and will make the install SOOO much easier. Please for the love of god and other drivers on the road, do NOT install a PNP (plug n play) HID or LED into your headlights!

I have the TruTrac and it's been great for me. I live in Iowa and we get quite a bit of snow and other winter conditions. I think it is quite predictable and the fact that my wife doesn't have any issues driving the truck in any condition is a testament to that. She is a typical lady driver that doesn't pay much attention to vehicle dynamics or how it reacts to certain situations.

For the fog lights I have GE Nighthawk H11 or if you really want amazing performance get a pair of Diode Dynamics SS3 Pro fog lights. SAE rated, doesn't bother oncoming traffic (like the Baja Designs does) and has incredible light output/control!!!

    As for cheaper mods....
-rubber bed mat! So nice that things don't slide around and you can kneel without a worry if you'll be on a rib or not.
-BirdDawg Mirror Riser. Raises the rearview mirror so it doesn't obstruct your view anymore. http://www.birddawgindustries.com/tacoma-mirror-riser.html
-HPTuners. Probably the best performance/drivability modification you can do. It drives like it should have originally from the factory. It also helps when using cruise control so it doesn't want to down shift so much and overcorrect the speed. Hands down my favorite mod so far. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/hp-tuners-for-2005-2015.600793/

It is 2din, and I honestly just haven’t gotten around to installing the maestro. I just don’t want to take the dash apart again....

Already did that one! $10 for some peace of mind!

These are definitely a necessity in the PNW. Put em in a couple of months ago and I honestly love them every single day.

One of the “mods” I am considering currently is putting 255/80/17 on my stock suspension/stock sport rims. I’ve heard a mixed bag of responses (including the skinny tire thread) as to whether or not they’ll fit without rubbing. Does anyone think I could pay to have a tire shop mount one 255 and see if it rubs?
