the VR 10 was a Chinese made winch and has been discontinued. Probably would have been pretty easy to find closeout deals on it when the vr evo (or whatever followed the vr) came out

It’s a good winch either way, not sure I’d pay $400 for one that needs a new line though. Quality synthetic line isn’t cheap.

 

I offer prob like $325 and settle at like $340

Yea i heard they were made in the same factory as the HF premium winches

 

Yea I heard the same too. Part of the reason I went with the non-VR Warn 8000-S

 

I'll sell my Engo 12k for $100. Synthetic line is still good. I had a problem with it and it turned out the brushes needed cleaning (which I did), but a new motor is only $65.

these that are fastened to my OEM roof rack. Replace the pull straps with ratchet straps. Work fantastic.
