Has anyone here installed the OEM power locking tailgate?

Could've sworn I saw something about a conflict with the 2020 bed lights, but I can't seem to find the thread.

Any insight on this is much appreciated!

Both bed lights and tailgate lock were installed by my dealer before I picked it up - no issues at all.

I remember reading about this conflict as well. From what I recall, they both used the same hole from exterior to interior to run the wires from both accessories to the passenger side door sill. I don’t recall if there was a solution or if they both fit through the same hole or not. But you can always run to the drivers side(I think) but that’ll make it unlock every time you click once on the remote. Plugging in on passenger side will unlock on the double click to unlock all doors - which is more ideal IMO:D no experience installing, just read about it, but I plan on installing some time soon:thumbsup:
Also I have noticed there are 2 different part numbers - one that ends in JS0 and one that ends JLO. Not 100% but from what I gather the JSO is for short beds and JLO is for long beds

    See Build Thread ;)
I used the PopNLock power tailgate lock and went through the driver's side. Didn't have any issues.

On a side note... meso FINALLY opened up orders for the driver side switch panel and I can finally get my brake controller installed like I want and everything situated on that side. C4 Sliders have a week before completion. Can't wait to get that done... and I am going to refinish the stock wheels too.

I installed both the bed lights as well as the OE power locking tailgate. No issues with either.

    Good day all,
I wanted to introduce a new member to the fam. She’s actually a month old and I’ve been busy following you and making her mine . Still got a ways to go when I think of armour and tires and everything that Meso sells.
Thanks a bunch for all your pictures and ideas and responses to a bunch of enquiries .Goes a long way in helping make the right decisions the first time:)AD09032A-D788-4893-A018-2D79CB265843.jpg

I added a Color Matching TRD grille badge from Tacos4Cheap - well made and a great color match. I also finally got the vanity plate I ordered back in early February when I got the truck - just before COVID-19 shut everything down.

    And it begins...

Really considering starting a Front Runner thread on here, not a single resource. Or should it be a build thread?

Personally, I would like to track your progress with Front Runner gear - personal curiosity. Especially not having any knowledge other than Google just now to see what they offer. That's a vote for a build thread but if you have connections to getting this product you might want to consider a separate thread for Taco owners to see and purchase.

I guess it depends on what you want to achieve. - Cool looking equipment - definitely a different approach that US suppliers.

    long time lurker.
Always saying maybe this year will be the year my beater dies so that I could justify the need for a car purchase and more specifically a Tacoma. But alas, the beater would not die, and this color is just too good, so I got me a 2020 AG.

Because I'm in the great state of Texas. I don't really have a lot of trails that I know of, so the abandoned construction site will have to do in the meantime.

I say start a front runner thread! Post your progress in both places in case it doesn’t take off. I’d love to see your progress as well! I’m eventually getting some rhino rack stuff which sorta looks similar to front runners designs:cool:
Also, I’m pretty sure you have the factory graphics package right? Could I can get you to take some decent pics of your hood and bedside possibly so I can compare? I’m shopping different companies graphics and they all vary slightly, I’d like to get some that are as close to factory quality and design. Thanks in advance

Welcome to TW and the Army Green thread gentleman. Lots of great guys in here and not too much BS and Dbags like other places on this forum:D
