Just cosmetic: Window Tint, radio knobs, temp control knobs, Tech-Deck, Tonneau bed cover, tail gate lock, de-chromed all badges inside and out, installed back up camera and custom bedside decals.
While I have an Ender 3 Pro....these were all made on my CR10 V2....a buddy commisioned me to print a TMNT Shredder helmet for him...he did all the post process work...giving it to his BFF...lol The second one was requested by my 15 yr old nephew....Scorpion from MK 11

I was surprised too. I was also doing assembly while watching Motortrend shows so I impressed myself.

I just brought home a Lulzbot Taz 6. I have an Anet A6 and a miniDelta too. I have been playing around with the Formlabs 3L this week, but I still don’t really like it.

I like the filament printers, and the open source ones the best. I have had to mod the hell out of MakerBot to make them work right, but I think my next one will be a laser sinter printer.

I use the RoboR1 and have for many years. Besides printing random things I need I do print/sell a "universal" GoPro mount. Not sure if this is against forum rules but you can check them out at www.komosport.com

Quick question for you guys. I was going to have a guy print replacement straps for my Thule T2 rack, but he was asking $28 shipped for two straps. Is there anyone that could do this any cheaper? Not sure on the process exactly.

it’s all down to the design time, material and machine time. Prints are slow but the material is fairly cheap unless you are using something exotic. The question is how does that price compare to bought replacements?

The guy said he’s using nylon for them, waiting for it to dry. Well the straps are sold out until October at least, but could just be discontinued. Cost is usually $3-5 per strap. I was going to see if he would give me the file, but I don’t know anyone with a printer.

Lots of ways to get it printed, Google should have some '3d printer near me' or 'makerspace near me' results. Good luck getting the file from him though.

If you manage to get the file from him, you could see if a local college has any printers you could use or if there are any maker spaces. That said, it might still end up costing you just as much as he was going to if it's anything like here. That's why I just bought my own printer instead.

I don’t let anyone use the printers at work for anything not school or research related. That said, I have a very loose definition of research. Find the person that runs a 3D printing shop and just ask. You might get lucky and they will print them off for you. I printed some molds and cast new tires for a man that needed a replacement for is Indy 500 toy for the 1940s for free just to see if we could print the molds for the tire, so you never know.
