    It's only an issue when you get them really drooped out, because the dakars fan out and the second leaf gets bound up in the shackle. I was delighted when I finally trimmed it back and the popping and clunking stopped offroad. I think the dobinsons are a good alternative according to eric.

    I've got them and the T71VP3 and I'd suggest the latter for their onboard micro-USB charging. The GXT1000VP4 is a slightly better unit from a feature standpoint but unless you're consistently hammering on them in poor weather, the weather-resistant T71's should do fine. Typically, those are my go-to just because I can charge them on the go without a cradle.
