I have a 1998 Tacoma XTra Cab that I want to put a new head unit in.

I have decided on this unit, Kenwood Excelon DDX6906S

I have Morel component front speakers and Pioneer 2-Way rear speakers.
I have a Sound Ordnance B-8PTD powered sub in the rear as well.

My question is this, with the Kenwood head unit putting out 15 watts RMS, do I really need a separate amplifier for my front and rear speakers?

    Thank you.

What are the specs on the speakers?

Usually aftermarket speakers sound better with a more powerful amp and you'll be less likely to damage them if you turn up the volume.

    Yeah, you'll want an amp - maybe a 4x100
