    Nice Top !
No complaints about mine except the plastic trim across the tailgate cracked when It got kinda cold in Cochrane (I was working a shift further north at Detour Gold Mine) and the T-Handles filled up with salt and crap and I can't get the key in the locks any more...

Could be a bent dust cover on the pinion flange from off-roading: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...-3rd-gen-today.399305/page-8041#post-23427806

I ended up removing the pinion flange to get at a low spot near the middle. If you have to do the same, measure the depth of the pinion nut with a caliper or depth micrometer prior to removal, so you can tighten the nut to the same preload.

Isn't that *technically* what overlanding is sometimes?

did i tag the wrong guy?:annoyed: I swear that was your truck in that photo

that possible mistake aside, Good to know it was just the plastic that broke (easy part to replace too) and not the actual cap itself. I was hesitant with a fiber cap so i when with the flip up tonneau instead. i kinda wish i went with the cap sometimes.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=awqVZjUyBzw&feature=youtu.be Flange is fine, well it was a bit over a week ago. For whatever reason the audio is buggered, not sure why

I'll need to look into tightening the bolt then tomorrow, thanks for that heads up

No Worries... There are quite a few mostly stock black Tacos rolling around Hamilton - I like the idea of the solid cap - it feels like stuff in the back is just a little bit more secure and less likely to wander off. I've had problems in the past with people trying to take the soft top off my Samurai in the middle of the night. and there is just enough room to sleep in the back - the sliders have screens in them.PineryCamping.jpg

Looks like the base model 4-door Bronco will be $46K, i.e. starting MSRP before fees and taxes is about what I paid out the door with the Taco. It will be interesting to see how much the "Sasquatch Pkg" with 34s, 4.70 axles, F/R locking diffs, etc. will add to the price.

the fact that the wildtrak version (which seems to starts at $58,500) fits 35s some how is interesting.
Why couldn't Toyota do that for the Tacoma? @Norilsk wouldn't need to cut up his Taco to fit 33s :stirthepot:

All the Bronco trim levels can be optioned with the "Sasquatch Pkg" that includes the goodies. The Wildtrak trim includes the package as standard. Wildtrak 4-door starts at $62k, which would be ~$72k out the door.

    $58,500 is the Wildtrak 2-door. There's a toggle for 4-door, which shows $62,000 starting.

    regardless if it's 2DR or 4DR, it's insane :annoyed:

but Ford be damned, They will sell a lot because for the nostalgia value of it all.

For the price of a loaded Bronco, i'd look into importing a Jimny

If anyone comes across a "decked" drawer system that fits a 2nd gen Tacoma please let me know. I have a big wooden drawer system now but want something more weather resistant.
    thanks
