Just wondering "what is the difference in tune between auto and manual transmission?" Thanks

If it's helpful, I know the MT can handle 450 ft lbs of torque.

If I was to turbo a 3rd gen, (don't have the money but I want to) I'd do a manual.

Also manuals are more fun, but that's personal preference :).

Maybe the trans can hold it, but I’m not convinced the clutch will

Someone earlier in this thread had pointed me to a spec sheet from the manufacturer of the trans of the manual which had HP/Torque specs listed.
I thought I had saved the detailed notes in a OneNote doc I have but....I guess not.

I also think for sure you would need a different clutch as I doubt that part is built for such high torque/hp that comes when turbo-ing the 3rd gen V6.

Now I'm gonna have to hunt for that again for my own peace of mind:bananadead:.

Had to ask in the MT thread and got the below answer (I realize that's half helpful).

If I find the actual spec sheet for that trans I'll be sure to post it though :).

Keep in mind when it has 450 NM convert to Ft Lbs it is about 332 ft lbs

Edit please feel free to correct anyone. The documents I've seen and screen shots from other members state 450 NM = 331.9 ft lbs

Oh dang, I didn't realize that was in NM.

I genuinely had ft lbs in my head lol.

That changes things quite a bit but at least from what I can see, based on Matt's feedback/testing, it appears that these transmissions (Manual/Auto) hold up well.

Now to dream of what it would be like to turbo mine....:burnrubber:
Because there's no way I can afford that for a loooooong time.

Mat are we still getting 6-7 psi springs mounted on the base kit and you are just adding the 4psi springs for option? That is how i read your last post about the springs.

    I'm wondering this also.
Bonus, if running the 4psi spring is it possible to switch between 4 and 8-9psi on the fly? I've got dreams of running 4psi for towing/off-road/daily driving and at the push of a button crank it to 9psi for fun.

The base kit will only have 6-7 psi boost max without upgrades to fuel system.
