hi experts (which I am not). I have a 2010 TRD Sport 2WD. today marks 6 months since I changed oil, always use Mobil One synthetic. I only have 300 miles since the oil change because i have been driving a different vehicle. manual says change it after 6 months regardless if you have driven the 5K miles or not? do you recommend that also? or can i go awhile longer? thanks John Williams Las Cruces, New Mexico

I’d recommend driving your truck more

Doing it at 12 months shouldn’t be a problem.

That recommendation is for Dino oil and you don’t need to follow it.

Generally once a year regardless of mileage. But mileage that low you would be fine with 2 year intervals.

    Still thinking about it.
Hi John. At 300 miles per year?? Leave it in there for a year or two...maybe longer? It isn't as important as some people think. No worries!!

    Mostly dust and dirt.
I did my first oil change at 1000 miles. If not waiting until 10k for your first oil change makes you feel better then do a change.

oil should be changed at least twice a year regardless of miles due to water/condensation .....says the punk-ass new guy (35 year mechanic)
