Pretty sweet rig that looked like it at least sees mud, spare mounted in the bed, neat stuff. I'm strolling back to my apartment checking it over then I see the sliders. My brain breaks, unable to comprehend what it confronts, as the very fabric of space and time itself is torn asunder.

I feel like they had to be welded on too. Seriously doubt that bolt ons would line up at all upside down

"I thought these were bolt on for my Tacoma? Wonder why we had to drill so many new holes???"

Maybe he didn’t want to buy a new jack?
With them mounted lower, you get an easier step point and can use the factory jack.

That's good, I still don't have a great solution myself and have to use a multi-stage process to get my tires off the ground these days.

Rear= jack up under the center diff with a block of wood/2x6

Front= jack up under frame rail on whichever side you need, using appropriate number of blocks of wood.

You have more ground clearance than me, but it should still work.

Buy load range E so you never get a flat tire! just kidding.
this is a good reason it’s nice to wheel with a group. There is always someone who has the gear. Worst case you can utilize recovery boards to get your jack up higher.

I carry 4 pieces of 2x6 in my truck in case I need one under the stock jack to stabilize it. I dunno how well the blocks of wood would work on top of the bottle jack, but it would probably work. I use blocks of wood with my floor jack at home that has a larger pad.

I would think it would be fine. Probably better than a lot of other options. Smart to use the 2x6 too.

Yeah I use similar wood-assisted shenanigans for my floor or bottlle jack. Stock jack was sent to a farm upstate years ago, bless its heart.

I would say about zero. So many great areas much closer to PDX where many of us are located.

I would encourage you to start a thread though. I bet there are peeps in your area who would like to find people to run with.

I think there is a pretty active group up there. I see them doing runs near Tahuya I believe.

I would like to get out that way. The question is when.
