Then we are talking about the same place. Off the beaten path is definitely my style. We had a real small wedding ceremony but then the next weekend we had a big party.

 

Worth the extra steps to park next to a cooler tacoma

 

Hey guys, it's been awhile since I've been active on here. It's also been awhile since I had a Tacoma. I have stepped up in size to a 96 dodge 2500 diesel, and with that, I went to help rescue a guy's car that he got stuck on some back trails. While going down that little trail, it reminded me how much I enjoyed going wheeling when I had my Tacoma.

So with my preamble, are there any wheeling trips being planned out in the near future? Home for me is Deer Park and I know my truck isn't as good for tight trails, but I'd love to get out with some people.

 

Anyone want to do a meet or even trail ride this weekend?

I don't mind. I Just really wanna take my truck out. Been a while.

 

I would love to but I will be in Bend Oregon. I don't think I haven been out in my truck since there was snow on the ground

Where were you thinking to go? Since I moved over here 6.5 years ago, the only place I've gone offroad at was up at Kettle Falls on gravel roads, and had to crawl over trees that had fallen down.

I have plenty of recovery gear and I'm not completely inept out there

 

I went out near Cusik/Usk and enjoyed it. Plenty of forest roads out there. Almost made it to N. Baldy but time wasn't on my side.

 

I'm game to go explore more. I am a morning person, and I am already north, in Deer Park. What sounds better, saturday or sunday?

 

If it's morning then we could go on Sunday.

On our little exploration last weekend, I punched a hole in the sidewall of my tire. When I got my spare, it was the factory size (30") instead of matching the rest (31"). The spare looks about brand new on the tread, but the sidewall was cracked. Wifey was a bit upset that I'm getting new tires so soon, but after looking around a bit, I'll be getting 5 new tires in 285/75/16 Cooper AT3 E rated. All I have to do is actually get in contact with discount tire to make it happen. What's $1275? I'm sure that is chump change for everybody here. On a side note, and definitely not related, I am now renting my body out for spare cash...

 

Anyone interested in exploring some more of the CDA Forest roads this weekend?

 

I'd say yes, but I'm on the west side of WA right now
