Great pic! I want to build a platform for extra storage and camping with my partner, but worried about lack of head room.

I hear you. With another person, it would be tight. A long time ago, I slept beside a friend in the back of a Nissan. It wasn't horrible, but it wasn't great either.

Sorry! One more. A big shout out to @dilbert . That little tailgate pull strap worked like a champ.

So like you can see in the pic, I have the Full 'C' harnesses. The stock reverse lights are my turn signals.

What I did was tap the Full 'C' harness just after the connection to the stock bundles. This is a really low draw LED, so there was no worry about the fuses or such.

If you are connecting to the stock setup, I would tap the wires on the harness side. That will allow you to remove the tail lights if you need to. This pigtail cannot be easily removed through the gap in the bed unless you drill a hole. I didn't want to do that.

For the LED, just check the connector pins for +12v across two of them. I just wedged the brake pedal down and checked the pins until I got that reading.

If you need anything else, lemme know!

Subbing because there's a crapton of great ideas for toppers and to say that I had no idea dark mode on Brave for Android was a thing. My eyes thank you.

I sent an email to Soft topper to ask about getting a a dark-tinted rear panel. Heard it's a thing. Also to see if they offer military discounts. Shame I missed this GB.

Hat tip to a number of you sharing your third brake light mods include the pathways and parts. I have a @Dissent86 rack over my Softopper, so a little different approach for me. I still have some work to do, but finally nice to have the extra warning for people behind me.
