Thanks for the tips @shawn2002 and @Mully. If others have issue moving that uniball, I'll note that using a prybar made it extremely easy to get the leverage to put the uniball in the right spot. My prybar is tapered so I could slide it into the uniball and safely move it where I needed as the LCA was jacked up (as high as I could get it with the floor jack). All the weight was on the floor jack vs the stands while I connected it together. Not ideal but it worked.

As with just about everything I've done on the truck, if I did it again it would be a snap :) But hopefully I don't have to do this one again lol. Off to the alignment shop this morning.

What type of grease are you guys using for the zerk fittings, same grease can be used for the LCA too, right? I'm about to finally attempt my install this coming weekend!

Thanks guys! Have a safe Independence Day weekend :oldglory:

Cut & broke off some stuff.

I had asked similar question. I got some of this for the bushings. I read that silicone base with Teflon (ptfe) was really good on bushings.
I'll use a normal synthetic grease on ball joint.

Yep, bend that shit out of the way, it will come out. You will be able to bend it back, thin sheet metal is all it is.

You put the grease in the zirc fitting, I believe. 31E8E1E9-B323-471B-9D9A-14140F330C1D.jpg

I didn’t opt for the cap because I heard moisture builds up in there and it’s actually better cap less. Time will tell I guess.

After a two weekend project with lots of cussing... it’s finally done. Damn the front end feels solid with a heavy steering feel :bananadance: thanks to all those who helped answer questions along the way and for @Unchained 5150 for putting the group buy together! Now time to go get an alignment :)

Anybody else miss this and want to start working on another GB? I can start a new thread and put one together if there are others that missed this.
