A 93 Pontiac Grand Am. Got stuck with it when I married my 1st wife. It was low mileage, but the lights would go out with no warning and the wipers would stop in a downpour. It broke down at more intersections than I care to remember. It was a complete piece of shit.

Name brand oven cleaner contains sodium hydroxide, which will dissolve aluminum. It may take several applications, but it will eventually work.

I think the light comes on if you lose 10 - 20 percent of the "Set" pressure. Check them all with a gauge to see which ones are low.

That's great news, your rings should be fine. I just did a compression test on that shitty Dakota a couple weeks ago and even it was about normal.

I want to make a much much longer response to this thread and i will as soon as I get some down time from my two kids.

But a few things that people don’t realize is this:
    1) a lot of cops became cops because not only are they good people at heart, but they too also had a bad experience with the cops and what better way to serve your community and make a profession better than by joining up and becoming part of the solution.

    2) as a cop, with in the first second and often before that, we need to assess who we are contacting, the environment that person is in, what’s happening, the environment we are in and everything in between. And where you are saying you have Asperger’s syndrome, which has its uniqueness, there are a thousand other things that have uniqueness as well. So aside from being proficient at assessing a situation for safety and the actual reason for the Interaction (DUI check point in that case) there is the matter of negotiating the intricacies of one of a thousand different unique personal situations.
    3) fakes. The sad thing for people with legit syndromes and disabilities (I am now disabled and I get the dirty stares at the handicap parking spot right up until I start getting out of the car lol). But almost every cop has had more instances than we can count of the fake whee chair bound, the fake mentally disabled or physically disabled, the fake medical
Emergencies etc etc etc. And where the answer is start out as of every thing is 100% legit, the investigation never ends. After you have been scammed once or 10 times and got duped, it’s hard to not be suspicious and weary of everything. After all the majority of our clients are less than honorable people.

I want to type a lot more, especially on the military side of stuff too (we have a coast guard installation near where I worked and those guys thought a mil ID card was a get out of jail free pass).

but I’m going to leave for now with this one last thing. Some call it the “dust off”... I called it the “service”. I could never understand when cops would detain someone who turned out to not be involved or not doing anything wrong after a citizen complaint but we were legally obliged to investigate... afterwards why they wouldn’t say a simple “hey sorry about that. Here is what’s going on and we had to do “x”. If your late some where can we call them and tell them you were helping us as a witness etc?”

how hard is that?we get paid my the hour not the haircut. Why can’t we forward some civility and courtesy?

paid by the hour thing made me laugh. My TO said that a lot. “I’m gonna be honest with you, sir, I get paid by the hour, so I am more than willing to get overtime off this”

First thing in the morning on August 7th; Didn’t enter in “judged” though...

Judges think that “stock” means it has to be a low-mileage garage queen with no dents, and I’m still pissed that the one guy deducted points because I had scratches in the bed!
