Vortex is a great company. I'm in Law Enforcement now and know of their LE buying program. Amazon is pretty close to their prices without the wait. Just seeing what people had used if they were looking to move some glass.

Are you familiar with ExpertVoice? It's this deal where you register, watch short videos or read an article on a product, take a quiz for product recognition, and get a discount from that brand. Vortex is a participating brand: https://www.expertvoice.com/who-qualifies/

Now it’s a mutt pistol, 2.0 backstrap, spare slide cut for a dot, threaded 9mm barrel, and a Glock rear sight.

    OP-
Can confirm, you get the first responder/military discount through www.expertvoice.com for Vortex. Ordered many things through them, mostly Vortex, and have had zero issues.

Didn’t look at your link but I’m happy with my plates from Spartan armor. Carrier is TacticalTailor. I’ve used TT for a couple decades both personal and down range. They can be expensive but I’ve never had an issue with anything I’ve bought.

    https://www.spartanarmorsystems.com/steel-core-body-armor/spartan-omega-ar500-body-armor-level-iii/

They seem to have a lot less items listed, possibly a result of Covid. Just who I know so who I went with.

Ballistic materials break down over time from light, sweat, heat, etc

That’s a pretty typical shelf life

INB4 somebody starts going on about how steel doesn't degrade and therefore makes better armor.

I need to get a couple of MOLLE attached holsters to fit on my backpacks. The 1911 should be easy enough as I've seen several, but the other is a 7.5in Ruger Blackhawk, which I have not been able to find.

Favorite brands of holsters and any help on the Blackhawk?
