Just bought myself one of my unicorn bikes for my 38th birthday, a RC-51

Also have a 1150GS for when I’m planning a couple hours in the saddle or the wife wants to go somewhere on two wheels


a NSR250 because two strokes rock



a GS500E I couldn’t resist for $350 and am almost done rebuilding (sat for 7 years)

and a ZX636R that dropped an intake valve I couldn’t resist for $500 ... next project when the 500 is finished



A couple dirt bikes in the mix there too ... yes, I have a problem

My 2014 Yamaha FJR1300 taken during the Void Rally last year. These rallies are like a scavenger hunt type of ride involving planning a route from a starting point to the finish location within the allotted while scoring points by visiting as many of the bonus locations as possible. I rode with a friend of mine who was doing his first rally while I've been doing these for about 6 years. We had 31 hours available with a mandatory 3 hour minimum rest break. We covered 1386 miles during that time and took a 5.5 hour rest. I finished 6th out of the group of riders from our start location while Jim took 8th place. We rode the same route but Jim goofed up on one of his pictures by having the incorrect sign in the pic.

 

This thread makes me miss my motorcycles

 

That brings back memories.
