Looking into accessories that can mount on a Leitner Designs ACS rack. I'm aware of those sold by Leitner Designs, but wondering about other items or rack accessories from different companies that have been mounted in the ACS track system or to the ACS universal mounting plates.

Anyone come up with a way to mount bikes to the outside of the rack using the ACS traklocks, without taking the front tire off? Something like the system seen in post#7 on this thread? https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/bike-rack-with-camper-shell-questions.319836/

What have you put on your Leitner?

I am curious to know if you found anything. I too would like to do this. Some sort of accessory like this for the Leitner Accessory plate should work. https://rcimetalworks.com/product/bed-rack-bike-mount/

I would like to just get some sort of a spare bar or round bar sticking out to mount a roof top-wheel-on rack on the side. Let me know if you've come up with anything.

I haven't yet. Work kept me busy and looking for a new bike...so I'm leery of getting a set up until I decide on the bike. Have been thinking about the RCI mount and would like to find out the how the angle compares to a Leitner.

I'm actually in the process of coming up with a plate that mounts into the side rail of ACS rack. Headed to the local fab shop tomorrow to discuss. I have it prototyped, ordered the 1up roof mounts to try. I'll keep you posted. If everything goes well, I can mount it just outboard enough for the door on the gear pods to open (with bike off of coarse).

After a couple of revisions I have arrived at the attached solution. Custom made and powder coated. If there is interest I can have a bunch made up. Probably not going to be super cheap.

Curious to know the mechanism you designed to make this work. Do you have pictures showing the bracket and mounting point?

Did we ever find more out on these? Starting fab on my own type, but don't want to reinvent the wheel if I don't have to...
