Maybe @Jerez can give his thoughts on the headlights as it seems to be his silver truck in the picture. I too am debating if I should keep my outdated FX-R retrofit or grab either the Tacoma Beast or Apex. Apex is looking Niiicee though, just want to see more reviews on the output.

    Yea that’s my truck

I’ve had the lights for a couple days since they kept my truck
Over all I give these lights a 9 out of 10 and I’ve had about 6 sets of retros and every set was a form of a and Fxr projector with hids except for the ones in my spyder headlights

the built quality is great; it’s full led even the low beam projector
The cut off is surprisingly good when driving and when facing a wall you can see it
The sequential turns are bright as hell and the dtrls as well
The only thing I truely don’t like about them is I wish (for my liking) the projectors where a little bit wider on the sides when driving
I feel like they need another 2-3 ft per side to light up.
But I do need more night Time driving
Haven’t had the time this last week :anonymous:

Looks promising. Seems to be brighter than the fx-r’s, but not as wide

Looks great man! How is the width of just headlights only? Comparable to stock or more width?

That great to hear!! I love my retrofit, but I am curious how the 2.5 gen will look if they make them. Seems like a great upcoming business that cares about looks, performance and quality!

thats the only fuse that has ignition power in the engine bay. Unless you run it into the cab instead
I used to have switch back leds in my front and would wire them them
And the lights would come on as stated when the fuel tank vent would release the vapors 4-7 hours after the last shut off

Did you have the DRL option before the headlight swap?

Thanks. I saw on the description page that these would only work with a factory installed DRL option, but my base model doesn’t have that...

    it works with your truck
Mine was the test one they used to check since my 08 sport doesn’t have the dtrls either

Can you please tell me where you sourced that grill from ? I love it.

If I have a 2008 SR5 V6 Dbl Cab base model (non TRD) and was wondering does it limit the functionality of these AlphaRex Pro-series Projector lights ?

    @Xx Ares xX

These look really nice. I’m in the market, but all you have is for gen 2.. any plans for a gen 2.5(12-15). Few on this thread have asked and I didn’t see and answer.

If so is it in the near future and worth holding out?
