Creaky leaf springs fix

*2012 4cyl 4x4 MT tacoma with 75k on it. Stock build*

What do you y'all do for creaky leaf springs? No issues with the suspension itself but curious about quieting down the noise. What kind of lubricant? Where exactly do you apply it?

This seems like something I'll have to start doing monthly-ish, so I'm curious if anyone has a particular method.

I just use something like WD-40, only a little thicker, about every three or four months. Yesterday, I installed a u-bolt flip kit and hosed mine down with some cheap spray lubricant I got from Dollar General. I like it. It's a little thicker than WD-40 and I bought a couple of cans to see how it would work on the frame and undercarriage parts. Time will tell. Liquid Wrench also makes an anti-corrosion spray that's a little thicker.
Your mileage may vary. You need something that will wick in between the springs though.

 

I used SuperLube on my OME Dakars (2" - 2.5" lift) and haven't heard anything from them.

I use Fluid Film (rust & corrosion) penetrant $ Lub. Off road 50% of the time and only need to spray around once a year. The ride was acutely better after I used it, and that say a lot on an old HJ

 

I've never had squeaky leaf springs. But every fall I lift the frame to sag the springs and coat them with this.

 

how do you put it on? Lift the rear end to take weight off the springs?

 

You can left the cab (jake from the bumper first tim) a little and just spay it penetrates by it self really easy
After the first time just spray it on every year. Spray both sides of the spring no need to raise after the first time
I'm it water this time of year (stream crossing 12/18") with no sings of lose

I spray it on places where my undercoat peals off and have had no rust appear in the last 4 years
