A dry fit to the @MESO lower switch panel shows everything is in good order.

Load on the primary contacts (relay contacts) shouldn't affect the secondary contacts (indicator lighting).

It shouldn't, true. But, I don't know if "load" voltage is also applied to the green LED, that would override the dimming affect. I will find out and report back after I hook it all up.

ETA: I'm not sure if the more expensive unit from Lightforce has any fancier circuitry than the cheap Aliexpress units, or, if they are basically the same thing and I just paid extra for the custom engraving and included wiring instructions.

I tried to get pictures of the blue and green LED's at different brightness levels. Still pictures just didn't work out. So I took a couple of videos and edited them down and then and made a GIF that shows the dimming of the blue and green LED's.

But, I had to speed it up quite a bit to get a manageable file size. So here it is for now. I will post up a couple screen grabs in the next post

The next step is to install the switch in the truck and wire it up.

This is EXACTLY what I've been searching for!!!!! Or at least close enough!

The only other dual switch I've found was this...

    illuminated-pushbutton-switches-pushbutton.jpg

Kind of bummed to hear the "skinny" switch won't fit. The switch panels you tried them in, are they for the OEM toyota Large switch size? Is that the same size as the Carling switch? Please pardon my ignorance with that. I haven't looked into Carling switches, I have a few CH4x4 push buttons.

I purchased a MESO custom switch panel with the 5 large switch openings on the top. Maybe a little time with a dremel might allow the switch to fit??

Can the switch operate 2 devises at the same time or is it one or the other?

    TIA!!!!!

The panel that is installed in my truck, (left of the steering wheel), is for the Carling style switches. Sorry I don't remember where I got it, maybe CH4x4? The metal face plate that I showed is supposed to be for the Toyota switches. I think I got it from Cali raised. The switch looks like it would fit with a little filing to the opening in that face plate.

It can operate 2 separate devices. So press the top button and power goes to the relay for your first device, Bottom button sends power to the relay for the second device. you will want to run relays since the switch has a small amperage rating.
It has a single source. So, depending on what you use for your source power, (switched or unswitched with ignition), you may only be able to operate the devices in questions when the vehicle is running or in accessory mode.

Old thread I realize but if you haven’t found this elsewhere the max illumination level is set by the 3100 smd resistors(3k ohms) on the bottom of the green circuit board. Try 10k ohms if you want them closer to oem brightness but that can vary depending on whether it shines through a laser etched image or a clear plastic window. Dimming is done on the ground side of each led at the dimmer wheel so it doesn’t affect switch function if led power and switch power have the same 12v + source. I stay with stock on w/headlights for the leds and choose always hot or ignition hot switch power depending on usage. Using the same always hot source for the switches and leds would result in the switches being illuminated 24/7(not good).

Thread revive! I may have overlooked the info I seek...does the dual switch stay illuminated blue at all times? Or is the switch background light off when headlights are off and they light up blue when dashlights are on? Thanks!

    The short answer is "no".

If you do not have the illumination tied into the dash board lights, you will not get either color, (green or blue), no matter if your circuit is on or off. This is shown in the second picture in post #4. One switch is on and one is off and there is there are no switch illumination. However the load, (your light bar etc.), still lights up.

If you do tie it in to the dash board circuit, it only lights up when your head lights are on. This would be the first and third picture in post #4.
The first picture is with the dash lights on and no circuit activation. Green background light means your light bar is off. Blue background on the switch means your circuit is on.

Pry out the little wire in the triangular hole in the switch and it becomes momentary. Up the R values to ~10k (1003) to be closer to oem brightness though smd leds might take less. Changing the resistors and leds (except those on the bottom) likely means desoldering the switches to get at the ones in between and under the actuators.

They have a symbol for the RSC OFF switch. And it’s not the body of the switch that is usually tight, it’s the lip that forms the stop that secures side to side and the spring clips top/bottom.

The double switches have 2 leds per switch and change color depending on switch status. One gets power from the switch output and the other gets power from the switch supply but both share the same ground and will only illuminate if this wire is connected. Chassis ground equals no dimming and dash lights ground (not the same thing) allows dimming. To have them on with the headlights as the rest of the dash lights are you need to open up the switch and cut the circuit between the switch power and the led power on the pcb. Or use the dash lights power to supply the switches but then the switches would only function with the headlights on.
