I wouldn’t be leaving either on full time. The saddle bags should be pretty easy to take off. I don’t believe there’s any mounts for them, it’s just a throw over. So it should just go under the seat and all it takes to remove is taking the seat bolt off. Other downside to the bag is that if I take my girlfriend on there when I decide to get pegs for her, the bag would be off

I think those things are ok, right? Especially skulls?

There were a bunch on the site and on eBay 12-18 months ago. I almost bought one, for the comedic value of course.

Little too small for what I’m lookin for. Basically the same as a backpack for me. I’m thinking I might just do the saddle bags. I’m looking at these too, they’re cheaper than the thrashin but they’re kinda ugly. But they’re also a lot bigger. https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/xkursion-xb-fast-lane-saddlebags

Gotcha, mine is great for an overnight trip or to haul a few items but doesn't have case-of-beer capacity like those saddlebags. They look well made though and would certainly hold a lot

Once I get my bike and a couple accessories, we need to get another meetup going. Maybe @LocoLocal will decide to join us this time

From a thread on ADVRider on that KLR, this rifle mount is rad. Too bad you're in california @uhplifted, this could solve all your bag problems

I’m not 100% certain, but I think I can transport a rifle on the motorcycle here. I’d have to look it up. I’m sure I’d be pulled over every other block though

You can legally sling it and open carry but you can not have any ammo or magazines with you. Although even though it’s legal, it’s pretty stupid and you’re just asking for trouble.
When you get pulled over just tell them you’re a sovereign citizen of the earth and you’re a traveler.
