I highly doubt it, though you could fish it up under the center console and route it from there

But in all seriousness, I would be a lot more comfortable doing these shenanigans with a 3/4 ton diesel which I plan on upgrading to in a few years.

Remind me what sound deadening you are using? I have a box of dynamat extreme and was thinking of putting that plus closed cell foam (Noico red 150 mil?) on the doors maybe dynamat extreme (or noico equivalent) and MLV on the back wall and floors?

I swear most of my noise is coming from the back wall?

I hear ya and I don't pull vehicles, yet...

Having one dedicated for haulin' toys, etc. would definitely be nice!

It's not going to be a perfect sound deadening project, but the goal is just to get it back to stock quietness pretty much. Going from no extra stuff and no carpet, adding everything should make a noticeable difference. If I had to guess, ambient level is around 80db and I'd like to drop it down to 70db.

I suppose I will just stick to the grommets next to the seats, then behind the dash across to the center.

I would be surprised if you don't get in the 40s with that. I just have the dynamat on doors, floor and back wall and I literally can hear nothing from outside

When was the last time you changed the batteries in your hearing aids? You know you forget a lot more now.

I have my eye on an early 2000‘s three-quarter ton Dodge with a dauly conversion kit on it. It has the 12 valve Cummins diesel motor with the manual six speed transmission and the rear that is in it is the two stage rear which means it has a low gear. It also has the fuel pressure dial mounted on the shifter to increase when under load if needed. The truck was set up to pull A large fifth wheel camper. That is the only time it ever moved. It belong to an old man up in Connecticut. My shop neighbor bought it and then decided not to use it. It almost looks brand new. I’m trying to convince him to sell it to me. There is a lot more stuff that I could use it for that I don’t currently do because my current truck simply is not powerful enough. I still have to go and pick up steal from time to time As well as lumber.

We should consider trading trailers some day. How often do you use your overland trailer? I rarely use my tandem axle 16'.

I know you don’t need full coverage with this stuff but I love how it looks.
