I don't know who Trevor is but I assume he works at Marlin. You're right though, it's all speculation until it's on the website.

If the starting price is still going to be around 7k without axles or shocks then how many of you will actually buy it still

That's not much different than sas. So 7k for the kit and 4k for axles and coils Maybe 3k cheaper than going 3 link. So thats going to be a hard choice to make.

The biggest difference is you can go back on this kit, you can't on an SAS.
Say someone runs into the side of you totals truck, you can take this stuff off and move it to the next, SAS is done.

My point only matters for DD trucks, anyone who has one of these only as a crawl toy doesn't care about traffic too much.

As someone who’s still planning on driving with this kit as a DD I’ll have no issues paying that steep price. Yah it’s a lot but it seems like a better set up than a typical LT. Plus there aren’t to many people using a SAS as their DD. I think a solid SAS set up takes a bit of research, time, test fits and same amount of money to get it just right. So a direct bolt on kit takes time and stress off the whole process. I’m still waiting to see the official price but already planning on $10K and the wife gave me the thumbs up to do it too.

Yeah, same @Jultepod . I've used marlin parts on my old 83 I built up and trust them to build good product. For a DD I need reliability and the peace o mind a and complete package of known components that work in sync with each other is worth $$ to me.

A lil this a lil that.
Food for thought, the Latest vid posted here shows what look like RCV axels. I recently purchased 3.5 Lt axels from them. When I let some buddies know I made the purchase they warned me against them because they had issues with boots tearing easily, and bad customer service. Unfortunately my purchase was already made. I should of inspected them before installing (didn’t think I needed to inspect a new item) anyway they came with torn boots... when I let them know (Sent pictures etc.) initially they said they would send out new axle sets. The next couple people completely changed their position. Very confrontational. Ultimately they agreed to refund 200.00 to pay for the labor of switching out the boots and grease. I believe I am completely objective in saying how cordial I was during the process and my experience was horrible. Rant over lol in my opinion the boots are the weak point of the axels and unless you wanna deal with the headache of grease flying everywhere in my opinion RCV is not the way to go for Toyota Long Travel axle sets.

I attempted to seal it before moving the truck and it failed. Both driver and passenger came torn.

I’m in for the 10k price. Cha Ching. I’ve done SAS. It’s cool, but I also want better ride quality getting to the trails.

I literally sold my 03 SAS dual case tacoma to buy a 2020 Tacoma because of RCLT last September thinking it was supposed to be a available then... So I have my hopes that we see the light at the end of the tunnel, but won’t be surprised when it doesn’t happen.

That’s rough. I sold my 89 solid axle with dual cases in feb for the same reason. Definitely wishing I’d held onto it for longer now

My plan is 3link the rear too but I don’t want to do it until I can get the RCLT for the front
