I used the KB Voodoo tailgate cap to secure the Velcro instead of my painted tailgate. The magnets is a cool idea too, I just thought overtime it would scratch the clear coat if sand/dirt was trapped between the paint and magnet.

Look on site for new which is around 8-9.

Used would be 4-600. I got mine in great condition for 500.

For the same price this would make more sense to me than a tonneau.

And nobody in my area really has these so I'm trying to figure a way to find a possible used one!

Bestop Supertop owner. Almost 4 years old and no problems at all. I especially like the 3rd brake light that's included.

Hey just wondering how much, if any weight can a soft top or best top take? I'm mostly just wondering if a canoe would be a terrible idea
    thanks

I would highly advise against doing that. The tubing that comes with canvas tops are just to support and keep the canvas taught. You could also wear out the canvas if you have anything rubbing against it.

Thread revival, how would you guys recommend these be used as a truck tent? Yes or no, what do you think?

For anyone who has slept in one, are they pretty bug tight?

Also, can you sleep in these while it is windy, comfortably? I have had some lousy tents that were miserable in the wind (noisy as hell). I am looking for a cheap camper basically. I am looking at a Best Top, they are made in Boulder, CO. I want the tan color to minimize heat in direct sun light.

The thing is tight so you wont have a problem with rain or wind. As for bugs it isn't a perfect seal. Itll keep most bugs out, but if some really want in there are a few small spots were they might crawl in.

Idk about the best top but my black one gets reaaaally hot in the summer sun. To the point that the stainless ribs will be too hot to touch. Having the optional mesh back panel would probably help.

Thank you! That is good to know about the mesh back panel, I did have my eye on that option. I live in the south west, black would probably cook me in the summer, it is over 100 F most days June through August. *maybe* tan will help out.

How would the canvas hold in the heat? Anyone have any complaints from wear and tear with weathering?

This is awesome. I’m looking at a soft top, but I already have a Thule Xsporter pro. Any problems with the top and the rack on the bed?
