Hey guys. I got a pretty cool opportunity to work with Sylvania for their new off road LED series and wanted to share the video they made. Ended up installing a few light bars and some perimeter lighting including my favorite - camp lights. They were also nice enough to get a Switch Pro for me which was super awesome of them. Also they were very supportive of my lighting placements on my truck as I wanted to make sure the lights were going to be useful for my outdoor needs. I actually chose Cali Raised Off Road to do the installation and it was a very nice 3 way partnership. We went to Trona Pinnacles in California to shoot. It's a pretty cool and eerie spot. Apparently they shot some scenes from Planet of the Apes and Star Trek here also. Anyways check out their products and the video below!

It is interesting to see major name brand lighting suppliers getting into the off-road lighting market. Their standard 10" combo bar doesn't appear to be anything to special, very basic inefficient open reflector optics and less actual lumens per LED than say Diode Dynamics which uses far more advanced optics. However they are really cheap too, seems likely aimed at the general autoparts store market vs performance off-road, where I'm sure they will make an absolute killing in the autoparts stores. $69 for a light bar from a major name brand at your local Orileys/Auto Zone, you know they will sell a bunch. A few of their bars use a vertical LED firing into a reflector based optic design, which should perform better in theory than the open face reflectors, though seems no-one uses that design other than PIAA for a light bar that I am aware of. That is how many OEM LED headlights and fogs optics are designed, like the 3rd Gen OEM LED headlights, which provides better light control than open reflectors. Being a major real name brand, they will certainly be better quality than the Auxbeam/China brand LED bars that flood Amazon and other sites. However they are clearly not geared toward being the best or building a high performing lighting product vs building a budget friendly one. If you are in the market at entry level and looking at an Auxbeam bar, I'd consider it. If you are looking for high performance lighting, you are better off with the major known players like Baja Designs, Diode Dynamics, KC or Rigid.
