Thinking about trying it in my kayak? Some of those sloughs look really “bassy” on google earth.

is the current really moving there? It’s a tidal current right?

I’ve never been. Thinking of going there sightseeing with the wife tomorrow. Just to check out some marinas. There are a lot of marinas! Is it easy to get lost in the system there?

Hopefully by this time you've already dipped your toes in the water.
But if you haven't yet, yes it is a tidal water system but nothing crazy the kayaks can't handle and you won't get lost. There's reception all over, if you wonder too far you can always pull yourself up on the map and get back to where you came.
I recommend looking up the weather before you go. High winds will get you in alot of trouble.
And yes, if you can get into the back of some of those sloughs that boats can't get to, there's some giant hogs out there.
    Good luck and tight lines

I've been trying to figure out what color baits to use for bass here in the Sacramento Delta and I have had zero luck until now. Can someone ID this? Color recommendations for specific baits for this region would also be very much appreciated.
